the Rob Roy Doublet
Slightly shorter then the other doublets and with no picadilles, the Rob Roy is designed to be worn with a breachan-feile or modern kilt. The front, back and sleeves are detailed with cordege in a repeating chevron pattern. The removable sleeves can be unlaced to hang free, exposing the sleeves of a leine or shirt beneath. This doublet also features two grommets on the left shoulder to fasten your plaid, either with a brooch or tie.
Lined with black cotton, the standard size doublet is adjustable to fit most sizes. Laced completely closed, it is comparable to a 42 jacket, loosening the sides increases the size. Available in black leather or any color suede. Cordege is available in a variety of colors. Plaid cordege can be substituted (provide your own, or buy a matching kilt).

You may order this doublet style without sleeves. You should, however, consider whether you might want to add sleeves in the future. If you want us to include the sleeve ties (sewn into the arm hole seams), please indicate this when you order. If you do not order this doublet with the sleeves ties, you cannot add sleeves later (we cannot add sleeve ties).
